The irony here is absolutely chef's kiss. Someone's begging for Docker to be rewritten in Rust because it "eats so much memory," completely missing the point that Rust's memory safety is about preventing memory bugs (use-after-free, buffer overflows), not reducing memory consumption. It's like asking for a car with better airbags because you want better gas mileage. Docker's memory usage has nothing to do with the language it's written in and everything to do with, you know, running entire containerized environments. But sure, let's rewrite it in Rust so it can safely allocate all that memory instead of unsafely allocating it. Problem solved!
