MariaDB was born, and some folks created this beautiful Soviet-themed parody logo because nothing says "seize the means of database production" quite like renaming MySQL to "OurSQL." The hammer and sickle with wheat laurels really drives home that collective ownership vibe. It's the database equivalent of "if we can't have nice things, we'll make our own nice things... with blackjack and open-source licenses!"
