Ah, the classic onion analogy. After 20 years of staring at code, I can confirm this is painfully accurate. You start with "it's just a simple bug" and six hours later you're questioning your career choices while discovering the issue was actually caused by a dependency of a dependency of a library you imported three years ago. And yes, I've definitely had that moment of silent despair during a Zoom call when layer #17 of the debugging onion made me die inside. The only difference between debugging and onions?
