The Last Goodbye You Never Knew You Said

Linux gaming in a nutshell: you confidently play your Proton card thinking Steam's compatibility layer will save you, only to get absolutely demolished by anti-cheat software that treats Linux users like they're all hackers. Because nothing says "fair gaming" like assuming everyone running a penguin OS is trying to exploit your precious game. The irony? You switched to Linux for freedom and control, but now you're begging game devs to pretty please let you play their games. Meanwhile, Windows users are just double-clicking .exe files like cavemen and having a grand time. At least you can flex your terminal skills while you cry about not being able to play Apex Legends.

Microsoft's entire user base when they announced Copilot would be embedded into Windows 11. Nobody asked for an AI assistant that uses 2GB of RAM just to tell you the weather, but here we are. The enthusiasm gap between Microsoft's boardroom and actual users has never been wider—they're out here acting like we've been desperately waiting for our OS to hallucinate file locations and suggest we "try turning it off and on again" in a more conversational tone. The collective exodus speaks volumes: some fled to Linux, others just disabled every AI feature they could find in Settings (good luck finding them all). Meanwhile, Microsoft's still convinced this is what innovation looks like.

The eternal Edge vs. Chrome battle strikes again! Microsoft Edge is portrayed as a desperate entity trapped for millennia, only to be accidentally summoned by your misclick. That split second when you hit the wrong icon and Edge bursts forth like an ancient being finally escaping its prison—complete with maniacal laughter and excessive enthusiasm. What makes this extra painful is that Edge is actually decent now (it's Chromium-based!), but developers still treat it like that weird cousin nobody wants to talk to at family gatherings. The desperate "I'M FREE!" energy perfectly captures how Edge feels when it finally gets a chance to convince you it's not Internet Explorer in disguise.

Content FURTHERMORE, THERE IS NO REASON WHATSOEVER TO CHOOSE ANY OS BUT WINDOWS Student IT Counci Communic Discuss Notebock PE FRANKLY THIS IS A NON-ISSUE, EVERY SINGLE COMPUTER AT THIS SCHOOL 15 RUNNINg WINDOWS. Oh, the FANTASY versus the REALITY of Linux gaming! 💀 That magical moment when you convince yourself that Linux gaming will be "just like Windows but faster" only to descend into driver hell, kernel panic, and the soul-crushing experience of typing "GRUB rescue" commands while questioning all your life choices! Proton status: BORKED. Missing dependencies? EVERYWHERE. And don't get me started on those LOWER FPS numbers that were supposed to be HIGHER! The betrayal! The DRAMA! Meanwhile, the Windows user just... plays their games. THE AUDACITY!

Someone at Microsoft thought writing C code in PowerShell was a brilliant idea. That's like trying to perform brain surgery with a pizza cutter. The tab literally says "PowerShell" but they're writing C code with main() and argc/argv parameters—the terminal equivalent of wearing socks with sandals. Microsoft finally upgrading the default terminal while developers everywhere scream internally at whoever created this promo image. Ten bucks says the person who made this screenshot has "proficient in C++" on their resume but thinks pointers are what you use to click things.
