Shiny Object Syndrome

The security admin proudly sets up branch protection requiring admin approval for all code changes. Meanwhile, the intern is confused about needing a +1 approval while the senior dev is like "lgtm, ship it" despite the code clearly containing an API key hardcoded in plain text with debugging logs printing credentials. Security theater at its finest - the branch is protected but the data sure isn't.

Remember when the web was just static HTML? Those were simpler times. Now we're over here connecting Redux thunks to Suspense while our node_modules folder consumes half our hard drive space. JavaScript started as a tiny language to make form validation less painful, but somehow evolved into this monster where your shopping cart app needs 807 dependencies just to render "undefined apples please" to the screen. The best part? We've collectively convinced ourselves this is normal. Meanwhile, Flash—problematic as it was—is dead, but we've replaced it with an ecosystem so complex that half the developers using it don't understand what's happening under the hood. But hey, at least we can run JavaScript everywhere now. Even places it absolutely shouldn't be.

When your teammate keeps submitting pull requests that just update the README.md file over and over again. Nothing says "I'm contributing!" quite like seven identical commits that add absolutely nothing of value. Meanwhile, the actual codebase is on fire, but hey, at least the documentation has another typo fixed! The best part? They'll probably list "Git expert" on their resume after this masterclass in version control.

The absolute TRAUMA of having to explain JavaScript Promises to another human being! This poor developer would literally rather face a firing squad than attempt to articulate the hellscape of asynchronous programming. "Don't shoot! I am JS Developer" he pleads, but when asked to explain Promises? "SHOOT." The desperation! The drama! The absolute surrender to sweet, sweet death rather than explaining why your callback hell needed to be replaced with .then() chains that somehow became even MORE confusing! At least with death you only suffer once - explaining Promises is eternal suffering!
