The Nuclear Option For Git Problems

Romance blooming in the most unexpected repo. Guy meets future wife debugging code together, then someone warns him not to let others "branch her out." Because nothing says true love like finding someone who can actually push changes without breaking the build. The real relationship milestone isn't the first kiss—it's the first successful merge without conflicts.

That moment when you watch helplessly as a senior dev rewrites your perfectly functional code with their "improved version" that does the exact same thing but with different variable names and their preferred syntax. The code still passes all the tests, the functionality is identical, but now it has their fingerprints all over it. Classic power move in the dev hierarchy! Your git blame history is forever altered, and your contributions slowly fade into oblivion. It's like they're marking their territory with semicolons and brackets.

When you're vibing with terrible code quality, writing nested callbacks six levels deep, zero error handling, and variable names like "x1" and "temp2"... and suddenly your commit counter hits 3251. Nothing says "professional software engineer" quite like watching your crime against computer science get immortalized in git history. The code may be garbage, but hey, at least you're consistently producing garbage. That's what they call velocity in Agile, right?

The formal frog is making a grand announcement about the most trivial of victories - a PR that got merged with a single +1 and -0 change. That tiny diff is the programming equivalent of fixing a typo and acting like you've revolutionized the codebase. Docker builds are notoriously finicky, so when you finally get one working by changing literally one character, you absolutely deserve to announce it with the pomp and circumstance of an 18th century aristocrat. The build is fixed! The kingdom is saved! All hail the developer who added that missing semicolon!

You know that feeling when you accidentally step in dog poop on the sidewalk? Well, imagine that exact same visceral disgust, but it's GitHub Copilot's logo on your shoe. The horror! The betrayal! The absolute AUDACITY of AI-generated code sticking to your sole like some kind of cursed autocomplete barnacle. Nothing says "I don't trust your suggestions" quite like treating Copilot like hazardous waste material. Sure, it can write entire functions faster than you can say "Stack Overflow," but at what cost? Your dignity? Your sense of accomplishment? The pure, unadulterated joy of spending three hours debugging a semicolon? Some developers would rather scrape their shoes clean than let AI taint their precious handcrafted artisanal code. The drama is REAL.

Blind as a bat when reviewing your own code, but suddenly equipped with NASA-grade telescope vision when it's someone else's mess. Nothing quite like the supernatural ability to spot every single anti-pattern, security vulnerability, and poorly named variable in code you didn't write, while your own masterpiece—complete with commented-out debug statements from 2019 and that one function named temp_fix_delete_later_v4 —somehow looks flawless. The real code review superpower isn't finding bugs, it's the selective blindness we develop for our own crimes against computing.
