When I Decided To Write A Resume

Modern programming is just AI shopping. Why solve a problem yourself when you can make five different AIs race to solve it for you? The real skill isn't writing code anymore—it's knowing which AI's hallucinations are least likely to crash in production. The "hit run on all five" part is where the true chaos begins. Nothing says "I trust my code" like throwing five different AI solutions at the wall and seeing which one sticks. Bonus points if you don't actually understand any of them but confidently present the winner in your next code review. The "like a psychopath" is just chef's kiss perfect. Because what's more psychotic than spending 3 hours asking AIs the same question when you could have just written the damn function yourself in 20 minutes?

The meme shows the progression of job recursion getting increasingly disturbing. Recruiters hiring recruiters? Normal. Cooks cooking cooks? Slightly concerning. But programmers programming programmers? That's just AI development with extra steps. We're literally coding ourselves out of jobs while smiling maniacally about it. Skynet doesn't need Terminators when it has LinkedIn.

The tech industry's relationship with the word "open" is like that ex who said they wanted an "open relationship" but actually meant "I want to see other people while you stay committed." On the left, we've got "Open" VPNs with fine print that would make a lawyer blush: "free" (after you pay), "unlimited" (for exactly two people), and source code you can view from such a distance you'll need the James Webb telescope. And then there's "Open" AI on the right—about as open as Fort Knox during a security drill. "Open research" (coming never), "open models" (just trust us, bro), and an "open culture" where sharing is strictly forbidden. After 15 years in tech, I've learned that "open" is corporate-speak for "we'll keep it open until we've captured enough market share to slam the door shut." Classic bait-and-switch, now with 100% more paywalls!

The great developer migration of 2023 visualized. Massive crowd flocking to ChatGPT while one lonely soul still visits Stack Overflow. Remember when we had to actually read through 15 answers, each starting with "Actually, you shouldn't do it that way" before finding a solution that worked? Now we just ask the AI and get code that's wrong in exciting new ways instead of the familiar old ways. Progress!
