A clever nod to Apple TV+'s "Severance" where the character's work self ("innie") is separated from their outside self ("outie"). Just like how developers have two personalities: the one who stubbornly refuses AI assistance at home, and the one who secretly lets GitHub Copilot write half their codebase at work. We all have principles until the deadline is tomorrow.

Remember when AI was our cute little sidekick? Now it's the hulking beast that makes us look like the sidekick. Two years ago we were teaching AI to recognize hot dogs. Today it's writing code faster than I can come up with excuses for why my PR isn't ready. Pretty sure next year I'll be fetching coffee for my AI overlord while it refactors my career into obsolescence. Still, at least I know where the power button is... for now.

The future of software development just got flipped upside down! Someone's bragging about an "open-source" project where an LLM wrote 100% of the code, and another dev hits back with the perfect mic drop: "code is cheap, show me the talk." It's the 2025 version of "talk is cheap, show me the code" – but in our AI-saturated future, the valuable part isn't the code anymore (any model can spit that out), it's the human reasoning, design decisions, and architectural thinking behind it. The real engineering is now in the prompts. We've gone full circle – from documentation being an afterthought to becoming the actual product!

The AI hype train has left the station and everything's suddenly a "vibe" now. LLMs? Vibe. Image generators? Vibe. Neural networks? Big vibe energy. Meanwhile, developers are just nodding along in meetings, terrified to admit they have no idea why marketing keeps calling their REST API a "conversational vibe interface." Too late to ask now. Just smile and pretend you've been vibing all along.

The eternal struggle of a desperate coder, captured in one image! On the left, we have LLMs promising to "help with programming questions" but won't actually insult you (how considerate). On the right, StackOverflow boasting it's "accurate" and "used by people who know what they're doing" while flexing knowledge of "even the most obscure languages." It's the perfect illustration of our coding dilemma: get polite, possibly hallucinated answers from an AI that treats you like a fragile child, or brave StackOverflow where your "simple question" will be closed as duplicate, marked as trivial, and someone will suggest you shouldn't be programming at all. Choose your poison!

Garbage in, garbage out has never been more relevant. GitHub's Copilot learned from millions of repos, including your spaghetti code with 27 nested if-statements and variables named 'temp1', 'temp2', and 'finalForRealThisTime'. Now AI is suggesting the same atrocities back to you. It's karma in digital form - the technical debt you've been accumulating for years is finally sending you an invoice.
