Microsoft's entire user base when they announced Copilot would be embedded into Windows 11. Nobody asked for an AI assistant that uses 2GB of RAM just to tell you the weather, but here we are. The enthusiasm gap between Microsoft's boardroom and actual users has never been wider—they're out here acting like we've been desperately waiting for our OS to hallucinate file locations and suggest we "try turning it off and on again" in a more conversational tone. The collective exodus speaks volumes: some fled to Linux, others just disabled every AI feature they could find in Settings (good luck finding them all). Meanwhile, Microsoft's still convinced this is what innovation looks like.

Linux: free, open-source, no ads. Pretty good, right? MacOS: you drop a grand on the hardware, but at least you get a clean experience without Microsoft shoving ads down your throat. Then there's Windows—you literally paid for the OS (or it came with your expensive laptop), and Microsoft still has the audacity to serve you ads in the Start menu, lock screen, and even File Explorer. It's like paying for a restaurant meal and still getting commercials between bites. The disrespect is real.

The emotional trauma of using Windows when you're a Linux devotee cannot be overstated. Ten minutes of hunting for Terminal, watching update screens, and navigating through seventeen dialog boxes just to change a simple setting will leave you in the fetal position questioning all your life choices. The dramatic collapse depicted here is basically what happens internally to every Linux user who has to use Windows for work or family tech support.
