That single character difference between if (user = admin) and if (user == admin) means you're not checking if user equals admin—you're literally making user become admin and then checking if that assignment succeeded (which it always will). Congratulations, you just gave everyone admin access!

When your breakpoint doesn't trigger in a multi-threaded app, it's like whispering terrible news to someone who can't hear you. You're frantically trying to catch that one specific execution path, but the thread decides to take a different route every time you're watching. Your face slowly morphs into that exact expression of confused despair as you realize the bug only manifests when you're not debugging it. The worst part? The bug is probably hiding in some innocent-looking line that executes a nanosecond before or after where you're looking.

Nobody tells you the truth in engineering school. We don't implement CI/CD because it's "industry best practice" or because some architecture astronaut said so. We do it for that sweet, sweet dopamine hit when all the build checks turn green. It's basically developer cocaine. The satisfaction of seeing five successful builds in a row might be the only thing keeping some of us from switching to careers in gardening.
