The classic bedtime promise every developer makes to themselves. "I'm going to sleep" immediately followed by "rewrite everything in Rust" - because nothing says good night like contemplating a complete codebase overhaul in a language known for its steep learning curve and compiler that roasts you harder than your code reviews.
The Rust evangelism is strong with this one. Instead of counting sheep, they're counting memory safety guarantees and zero-cost abstractions. Sleep is for people who don't obsess over borrow checkers at 3 AM.
Spoiler alert: they didn't sleep. They spent the next 6 hours fighting with lifetimes and wondering why their perfectly good Python script needed to be blazingly fast anyway.
