Tell me you don't understand computer science without telling me you don't understand computer science. Some tech journalist really looked at 256 and thought "wow, what a random, quirky number!" Meanwhile every programmer within a 50-mile radius just felt their eye twitch. For those blissfully unaware: 256 is 2^8, which means it's literally THE most natural limit in computing. It's the number of values you can represent with a single byte (0-255, or 1-256 if you're counting from 1 like a normal human). WhatsApp's engineers didn't sit in a room throwing darts at numbers—they picked the most obvious, efficient, byte-aligned limit possible. The real tragedy? Someone got paid to write that article while having zero clue about binary numbers. Meanwhile, we're all debugging segfaults for free.

Content Do you trust me? Not one damn bit

Content When you're arguing with someone but you walk away and hear them say '011001010111100001110100011001010 1110010011011010110100101101110011 000010111010001100101 under their breath

Ah yes, the pinnacle of UX design—listing every possible phone number in a dropdown instead of using a simple text input. Because why let users type when they can enjoy the thrill of scrolling through thousands of options? Nothing says "we value your time" like forcing you to hunt for your number like it's a needle in a digital haystack. The developer probably thought: "Text fields are so 2005, let's make users earn their form submission." This is what happens when you ask the backend dev to handle the frontend for "just one quick task."

C/C++ is like that horror movie villain who keeps coming back no matter how many times you think they're dead. For decades, newer languages have shown up with their fancy garbage collection and memory safety, smugly declaring "this will kill C/C++." Meanwhile, C/C++ is just chilling at its own funeral, pointing at itself and grinning because it knows it'll still be running critical infrastructure when all these trendy languages are long forgotten. The language literally predates the internet and yet somehow still powers it. Try replacing those low-level drivers and operating systems with your shiny new language... I'll wait.

Someone just tried to emotionally manipulate an AI into running the most catastrophically destructive command known to humanity. We're talking about sudo rm -rf /* with the --no-preserve-root flag—the digital equivalent of asking someone to nuke their own house from orbit while standing inside it. ChatGPT basically had a panic attack and threw an "Internal Server Error" because even the AI was like "absolutely NOT today, Satan." The sheer AUDACITY of trying to get ChatGPT to obliterate its own file system by weaponizing fake grief is chef's kiss levels of chaotic evil. Grandma would be proud... or horrified. Probably both. Fun fact: The --no-preserve-root flag exists specifically because Linux developers knew someone, somewhere, would accidentally (or intentionally) try to delete everything. It's the "are you REALLY sure you want to end your entire digital existence?" safeguard.
