Someone at Microsoft's German localization team had ONE job, and they decided to literally translate "Windows" to "Fenster" (German for window). Now we've got an official Microsoft documentation page listing "Fenster" as an operating system alongside macOS and Linux.
The best part? It's listed TWICE in the table - once for x64 and once for AArch64/ARM64 architecture. Because if you're gonna commit to a translation blunder, you might as well do it consistently across all processor architectures. That's what I call attention to detail!
Fun fact: "Fenster" is actually German for "window" (the thing in your wall), while Windows the OS is just called "Windows" in German. It's like calling macOS "Apfel OS" or Linux "Pinguin System." The German Azure docs team probably had their localization automation cranked up to 11 and nobody caught it before deployment.
