Even The Used Market Is Getting Expensive

The classic Peter Parker glasses meme but make it about tech companies with questionable ethics. NVIDIA and Palantir are the "respectable" choices - sure, NVIDIA's GPUs cost more than a used car and Palantir literally helps governments with surveillance, but at least they're established megacorps. Then you put on the glasses and suddenly see clearly: Arasaka from Cyberpunk 2077 (the fictional corpo that literally runs Japan and does human experimentation) and Militech (the other dystopian megacorp that starts wars for profit). The joke? They're the same picture. When your "real world" tech companies are indistinguishable from the deliberately evil corporations in a cyberpunk dystopia game, maybe it's time to question if we're living in the right timeline. The naming conventions, the logos, the vibes - it's all suspiciously corpo-dystopia-coded.

That moment when your trusty coding companion of many years decides it's had enough of your spaghetti code and kernel panics. The emotional attachment is real—you've been through countless all-nighters, Stack Overflow searches, and successful builds together. Now it's just sitting there, refusing to POST, taking your compiled memories to silicon heaven. It's not just hardware failing; it's the digital equivalent of your childhood pet running away. Pour one out for all the terminals that never got to execute their final shutdown -h now .

Nothing quite captures the sheer TERROR of being a watercooling newbie like that first mysterious gurgling sound coming from inside your $3000 gaming rig. Your brain immediately goes into full panic mode: "Is that supposed to happen? Did I mess up? IS MY GPU ABOUT TO BECOME AN AQUARIUM?!" Meanwhile, you're sitting there frozen, trying to convince yourself it's totally normal while simultaneously planning your escape route and mentally calculating how much ramen you'll need to eat to afford a replacement motherboard. The paranoia is REAL when you've essentially turned your PC into a plumbing project.

Console gamers flexing about GTA 6 running at 60fps while PC master race veterans are over here wondering if their eyes are broken. Going from 120+ fps to 30fps feels like watching a PowerPoint presentation with motion blur. It's not cinematic, it's a slideshow with delusions of grandeur. The best part? Console players genuinely think 60fps is some revolutionary achievement while PC gamers have been spoiled by high refresh rate monitors for years. Once you go 144Hz, you can't go back. Your brain literally refuses to process anything below 60fps as "smooth" anymore. It's like trying to convince someone that dial-up internet is "pretty fast actually."

Nothing says "sibling love" quite like a photo of high-end PC components you can't afford. That AMD Ryzen 7 marked down from $181 to a "bargain" $95, sitting next to an Intel Core Ultra at a cool $299, with GeForce RTX 5060 boxes teasing you from below. It's like window shopping at a Lamborghini dealership when you're still making payments on your 2008 Honda Civic. Your sister really said "let's suffer together" by sending this. Meanwhile you're both probably running potato PCs with integrated graphics, compiling code while contemplating whether ramen counts as a complete meal if you add an egg. The clearance price tag just adds insult to injury—it's on sale and you STILL can't justify it. This is the developer equivalent of food porn when you're on a diet. Sure, your current setup runs VS Code just fine (if you don't open Chrome), but imagine the possibilities... the build times... the frame rates you'll never experience.

The eternal battle between developers and printers continues! This poor dev thought mentioning his profession would somehow help with his printer problems, but instead triggered a PTSD episode in his therapist. Ten years of coding experience and I still whisper sweet nothings to my printer before every job. "Please work, I'll update your drivers, I promise." Printers are the final boss that no amount of Stack Overflow can help you defeat.
