Every developer's internal reaction when a non-technical friend starts with "I've got an app idea." When it's all over, they'll look at your work and say "That's not what I had in mind at all."

Meanwhile, backend is just the hollow mask and that... whatever that thing is on the right. You know, the part that actually makes everything work but looks like it was assembled during a power outage by someone wearing oven mitts.
