The classic InstallShield wizard showing identical Lego Star Wars screenshots but claiming one has "NVIDIA graphics" is the grandfather of today's RTX memes. The difference is about as noticeable as semicolons in JavaScript - technically there, but who's really checking? Graphics card marketing has been gaslighting gamers since before ray tracing was cool.

After 15 years in the industry, I've watched countless junior devs have existential meltdowns over OS choice while the seniors just use whatever gets the job done. The first thing you do with a fresh Windows install? Search "Chrome" in Edge. Then Edge is like, "Wait! We're basically the same now! Both Chromium-based! Please stay!" It's the digital equivalent of that desperate ex who changed their entire personality to be more like your new partner. Sorry Edge, but changing your engine to Chromium doesn't erase those years of Internet Explorer trauma. Some trust issues just run too deep.

But, we'd heard a lot of positive feedback about Linux when it comes to managing work processes. That app was developed years ago and ran like a well-oiled machine. The developer gave us the EXE format file. It perfectly runs on Windows, while macOS users could run it through the WineBottler app. We'd never had any bugs with it until we switched to Linux. As far as I know, Linux has no issues reading and running the EXE format files. Sometimes the apps simply can't connect to the internet to get the info from the seaports. Moreover, it stopped recognizing some seaports even though they are still operating. It's become impossible to work in those conditions.

That moment when you finally build your first gaming PC after years on console, and suddenly there's a portal to another dimension of configuration options. His brain is executing a panic.exe while Rick's just standing there like "Yeah, welcome to PC gaming, where the frame rates are uncapped and the graphics settings actually matter." Console gamers: "Press X to play." PC gamers: "Let me just tweak these 47 graphics settings, configure my RGB lighting, update 3 different drivers, and troubleshoot why my second monitor keeps flickering when I launch Steam."
