Just a few days later, OpenAI literally partnered with Stack Overflow to create... ChatGPT. Which is now answering questions that Stack Overflow users would've roasted you for asking.

The person even did their homework in the post, mentioning how ChatGPT scored better than 50% of SAT test takers and could handle Stack Overflow questions better than sites like Quora. But nope—closed faster than you can say "duplicate question."

Stack Overflow's strict moderation has always been a double-edged sword: it keeps quality high but also creates a reputation for being unwelcoming to newcomers. Now they're literally in bed with the AI they once deemed too "opinion-based" to discuss. The cognitive dissonance is chef's kiss.
