The tech industry's obsession with fancy job titles has reached peak absurdity. "Software Craftsperson"? Really? Because apparently "programmer" or "developer" doesn't sound artisanal enough for your LinkedIn profile. Next they'll want us to believe we're "Digital Solution Artisans" or "Code Whisperers."

Here's the thing: writing code isn't woodworking. You're not hand-carving each function with a chisel while wearing a leather apron. You're debugging at 2 PM wondering why your API is returning null for the third time today. The "craftsperson" title tries to romanticize what is fundamentally logic, syntax, and Stack Overflow searches.

Just say programmer. Say developer. Say engineer if you must. But "craftsperson"? That's the kind of pretentious nonsense that makes people think we're all sitting in artisanal coffee shops typing on mechanical keyboards while discussing the "philosophy of clean code."
