And when we wanted more features? "Just use plugins!" they said, as if that's not the digital equivalent of duct-taping features to a broken chair! And don't get me STARTED on those update prompts. "Please update to version 37.0.0.69.march2023.jaguar" — WHO NAMES THESE THINGS? A cat walking across a keyboard?! Meanwhile, we're all sitting here like obedient little puppies clicking "Yes, please install updates" while staring at loading screens that tell us ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. 22GB download for what? Who knows. A year, maybe more. Where am I going? A bunch of places. One every few months until I'm done. Why? To mandate absolute focus on a very small number of things (Postman included), fortify my network with coworkers and old new faces, force minimalism, and cattle-prod my brain. How am I going to afford it? By renting out my house to cover Airbnbs. Sure, it was planned months in advance. There was prep work. I'm not just blasting off into the ether. But still This could be a terrible idea, but it could also be genius - we'll find out. Wish me luck.

OMG, the absolute AUDACITY of this exchange! 😂 Someone innocently asks if SteamOS can be used as a regular operating system, and gets hit with the most devastating technical truth bomb: "No, it's Linux." Then another person comes along with "Yeah, it's just Linux" like they're casually confirming the Earth is round! HONEY, THAT'S THE WHOLE POINT!
