The AI revolution has birthed a savage new tech insult: promptsitutes – developers who just copy-paste prompts instead of writing actual code. In the new hierarchy of developer shame, JavaScript devs (traditionally the butt of programming jokes) have been promoted above these AI-prompt jockeys. Meanwhile, the second commenter is gleefully adopting the term like they just found free pizza at a hackathon. The dev ecosystem's pecking order just got a whole new bottom rung!

Can't write a for loop without reaching for lodash, but boy can they recite the entire React documentation while sleeping. I've interviewed these people. They'll talk your ear off about their "deep expertise" in 47 frameworks they've "mastered," but ask them to reverse a string without npm and suddenly they need to "research best practices." Their resume is just a word cloud of package names. The worst part? These people get hired. A lot. Because nobody wants to admit they can't tell the difference between someone who understands programming and someone who's just really good at following Medium tutorials.

Whoever wrote this switch statement clearly never heard of a HashMap. They're out here mapping Samsung Galaxy Buds models to their product codes like it's 1999. Instead of this monstrosity with 10+ case statements, they could've just done: const productCodes = {"Galaxy Buds FE": "R400XX", ...} and then return productCodes[var] || "default"; But hey, who needs elegant solutions when you can write code that scrolls for days? Bonus points for the completely random product codes that follow no logical pattern whatsoever. Samsung's engineers are probably the same people who name their variables a1, a2, a3...
