Frontend devs mock backend folks for using plain JavaScript instead of the framework-du-jour, but secretly, we all know those vanilla JS backends have been running flawlessly for years while the frontend stack has been rewritten 17 times. That backend code written in 2014? Still chugging along without a hiccup. Meanwhile, the frontend team is busy migrating from React to Vue to Svelte to whatever shiny new framework dropped last Tuesday. Sometimes boring technology is the most reliable. And deep down, we're all a little jealous of that stability.

Ah, functional programming's miracle drug! FUNCTIONEX (with its fancy lambda symbol) promises to cure your codebase of those nasty impurities. Just 45mg of pure functions and your spaghetti code will transform into a mathematical paradise! But watch out for those side effects! While your category theorist prescribed this to keep your functions pure, you might experience unexpected symptoms like actually having to write to files or databases. The horror! Functional purists are currently filing a class action lawsuit because nobody warned them they'd still need to interact with the real world occasionally.

Left side: semantic HTML with proper structure and accessibility elements. Right side: just throw everything in a <div>. Corporate can't see the difference, but every frontend dev just felt a disturbance in the Force. The fullstack dev at the bottom knows both approaches render identically in the browser, but silently judges you for your div soup anyway.

Picture this: you FINALLY master HTML and CSS, feeling like a coding deity. Then JavaScript shows up. Fine, you conquered that too. But wait—React wants a word. TypeScript is knocking at your door. Vite just moved in. Next.js is doing parkour on your roof. And now the cursor is literally floating above your head like some kind of existential threat. The web dev tech stack has become a never-ending staircase of frameworks and tools, each one stacked precariously on top of the last. You're not climbing the career ladder anymore—you're just trying not to fall down this JavaScript-flavored Escher painting. By 2026, we'll probably need a framework to manage our frameworks. Oh wait, we already do. 💀
