You spend weeks crafting the perfect pull request, meticulously following the contribution guidelines, writing tests, updating documentation, and squashing your commits into pristine atomic changes. Then you nervously hit that "Create Pull Request" button and... it gets merged while you're stuck in traffic behind a truck with a crying cat meme on it.

The emotional whiplash of FOSS contributions: one moment you're anxiously refreshing GitHub every 30 seconds, the next you're just trying to get home while your notification badge explodes. The maintainer probably reviewed it during their coffee break and approved it faster than you can change lanes. Meanwhile, you're having an existential crisis in bumper-to-bumper traffic, wondering if your code will break production for thousands of users.
