Not Even A Joke

Oh sweet coding gods, behold the miracle of modern software development! A tiny dog somehow balancing precariously on three bottles labeled with the holy trinity of self-taught programming: Stack Overflow, GitHub, and some JavaScript framework that changes every 3.5 seconds! This is LITERALLY every self-taught developer's career in one image - constantly on the verge of catastrophic collapse, yet somehow still standing through the divine intervention of copy-pasted code, documentation we pretend to read, and tutorials we watch at 2x speed. The only thing keeping us from being exposed as complete frauds is these three sacred pillars and the audacity to keep pushing to production anyway!

THE ABSOLUTE DESPAIR! You've spent 6 hours debugging that bizarre error, frantically Googling every possible keyword combination, and the ONLY result is some poor soul who posted the EXACT same issue on GitHub four years ago with ZERO replies! Not even a "me too" comment! Just eternal digital tumbleweeds! You're basically Napoleon exiled to programming purgatory, staring at the ocean of unsolvable bugs while your deadline approaches faster than your will to live. Might as well start writing your resignation letter because clearly this bug was created by ancient coding demons specifically to destroy YOUR career!

You spend hours crafting beautiful Python code, push it to GitHub all proud, and then... *crickets* 🦗 The only response? Three orangutans staring blankly asking "where exe" because they just want the executable! They don't care about your elegant list comprehensions or your perfectly commented functions. They just want to click something and watch it go brrr! ✨ This is why we can't have nice things in programming. Some people just want to run the app without appreciating the beautiful chaos that made it possible!

GitHub really said "you know what, let's just murder our own child" and issued an official death certificate for Atom. Cause of death? "Officially declared dead by author" – which is basically the tech equivalent of a parent disowning their kid because their newer, shinier sibling (VS Code) is doing better. The certificate lovingly documents Atom's 10 years and 10 months of life, complete with 61K stars and 17K forks, before GitHub stamped it with "KILLED IN PRODUCTION" like some sort of corporate crime scene. The last words being "dying in a merge conflict" is just *chef's kiss* – because nothing says "farewell cruel world" quite like unresolved Git drama. Fun fact: Atom was literally built by GitHub using Electron (which they also created), only for them to pivot hard to VS Code and leave Atom in the digital graveyard. Talk about playing favorites with your children!

Corporate just discovered the ultimate life hack: redefine reality itself! Why pay overtime when you can simply rebrand "working outside normal hours" as "anytime github/graphite isn't down"? Genius! Revolutionary! Totally not exploitative! Someone in the replies immediately clocked it: "Wait... is this the new 30-hour workweek?" And honestly? That's the energy we need. Because if your work hours are defined by server uptime, congratulations—you're basically on call 24/7 but with extra steps and zero additional compensation. The best part? They said "circumstances beyond our control" like GitHub going down is an act of God that requires employees to sacrifice their entire life balance. Chef's kiss to whoever thought "let's just make everyone available always" was a reasonable response to infrastructure issues.

When your Git push gets rejected by some obscure rule you didn't know existed. The terminal's giving you ASCII art of a dragon guarding your repo like it's a medieval treasure vault! That "Herald push rule H149" might as well be written in ancient runes. Nothing says "your code isn't worthy" quite like being denied by a mythical creature made of forward slashes and zeroes. Somewhere, a senior dev is cackling while sipping coffee from their "Git Gud" mug.
