It's the programming equivalent of putting a decorative band-aid on a broken leg. Sure, the code compiles, but those 43 warnings are just sitting there... menacingly . This is basically what happens when the deadline trumps code quality. "Ship it now, fix it never" as the ancient developer proverb goes.
