When I Tried To Cherry Pick Hotfix To Develop Branches

OH. MY. GOD. The AUDACITY of GitHub Copilot! 😤 You're sitting there BEGGING this AI to write a simple function and it's like "hmm, I don't quite understand what you want" while you're SCREAMING at your screen! Just show me the freaking code I'm trying to write instead of making me describe it in 47 different ways! It's like trying to explain a recipe to someone who keeps asking "but what IS flour?" JUST WRITE THE DARN CODE ALREADY! I've spent more time trying to get Copilot to understand what I want than it would have taken to write the whole program myself! The digital equivalent of trying to give directions to someone who keeps turning down the radio because they "see with their ears." 💀

Oh. My. GOD! The ABSOLUTE BLISS of watching your company's production environment BURST INTO FLAMES while you're serving your notice period! 🔥 That smirk says it all - "I warned you about that technical debt for MONTHS, but nooooo, features were more important!" Now you're just standing there with your coffee, watching the motorcycle crash in slow motion while your soon-to-be-ex-colleagues panic. The sweet, sweet taste of vindication without responsibility! Zero stress, zero urgency, zero on-call alerts blowing up YOUR phone. Just pure, unadulterated schadenfreude as someone else inherits your cursed codebase. Karma's a beautiful thing, darling! 💅

Conspiracy theory of the century right here. What if the real production incident was the friends we made along the way... in the form of endless JIRA tickets? This is some galaxy-brain thinking: if you can't have production incidents without JIRA tickets, then maybe JIRA tickets themselves are the root cause of all our problems. Just delete JIRA and boom—no more incidents to track, therefore no more incidents exist. It's bulletproof logic, really. The devs have been treating the symptom (the incidents) when they should've been treating the disease (project management software). Next up: "What if bugs only exist because we have bug trackers?" Philosophy major energy meets SRE burnout.

When your teammate commits a file with +6,436 lines added and -54 lines deleted, and they have the AUDACITY to tag you for review. Sir, I didn't sign up to read the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy before lunch. The sheer betrayal of seeing those numbers pop up in your notifications—like getting assigned homework on a Friday. And of course it's "by claude" because apparently we're just letting AI write entire codebases now while we suffer through reviewing their digital novels. The look on this guy's face says it all: "You want me to actually COMPREHEND this?" Buddy, I can barely comprehend my own code from yesterday.

Sleeping peacefully through natural disasters and alien invasions? No problem. But that sudden 3 AM epiphany about that elusive bug on line 56 you've been battling for days? INSTANT AWAKENING . The programmer brain has exactly two states: completely oblivious to the world around you while coding, or jolting awake at ungodly hours with the solution that was right in front of your face all along. The debugger of your dreams works better than any IDE.
