Is this the boss? Just calling to say the project will be delayed because of a server crash

The eternal dev dilemma: spend 20 minutes crafting the perfect prompt for ChatGPT explaining your obscure bug... or just Google the error message in 10 seconds. We all dramatically surrender to AI like wounded warriors, only to sheepishly crawl back to Stack Overflow five minutes later. The relationship status between developers and LLMs? "It's complicated."

Content STOP DOING TYPES VARIABLES WERE NOT SUPPOSED TO HAVE MEANING. YEARS OF CODING yet NO REAL-WORLD USE FOUND for assigning more than a CHAR. Wanted to assign meaning anyway for a laugh? We had a method for that: It was called "GUESSING" "Yes please give me NULL of something. Please give me ANY of it." LOOK at what Programmers have been demanding your Respect for all this time, with all the compilers debuggers we built for them. (This is SUPERIOR TYPESCRIPT, done by MASTERFUL Developers): type ConditionalTypeT T extends string type PizzaTopping "4" PromiseArrayRecordstring, unknown ? T extends "infer Firstinfer Rest? UppercaseFirst Rest ???? ??????? ???????????? "Hello, I would like never apples please" They have played us for absolute clowns.

Nothing says "I prioritize your emergency" quite like showing up three days after the ticket was filed. The stance really sells it—hands on hips, radiating the energy of someone who definitely didn't stop for coffee twice on the way over. You called it a P1 incident, they heard "eventually." The "as quickly as I wanted to" is doing some heavy lifting here, carrying the weight of seventeen other tickets, a lunch break, and that one user who keeps asking if they need to download more RAM.

The unspoken truth of software engineering: you can spend years mastering complex algorithms and distributed systems, but your family will only ever be impressed when you fix their printer. Nothing says "I have a computer science degree" like standing next to a Canon inkjet for 30 seconds, turning it off and on again, and being hailed as a technological messiah by your relatives. The formal attire and aristocratic frog just perfectly captures that misplaced sense of accomplishment we feel when solving the most trivial of technical problems for our non-technical family members.

The horror movie villain's greatest weakness: corporate IT processes! Even knife-wielding maniacs can't bypass the sacred ticket system. The programmer's terrified face in panel 2 perfectly captures that moment when you realize someone's about to ask you for help via direct message instead of following protocol. And that final panel? Pure developer schadenfreude - watching the villain collapse at the mere mention of "submit a ticket" is basically what happens to any dev's soul when forced to deal with JIRA for the 47th time today. The ultimate developer defense system isn't a firewall - it's bureaucracy.
