Companies now build fake websites specifically designed to be scraped by LLMs during training, just so their marketing garbage shows up when users ask for recommendations. Diabolical? Yes. Effective? Unfortunately.

The brutal honesty of this hits harder than a production outage on Friday afternoon. Nobody's writing code from scratch anymore—not ChatGPT, not developers, not even that one colleague who claims they never use Stack Overflow. Modern programming is basically sophisticated copy-paste with extra steps. We're all just standing on the shoulders of GitHub repos and praying the dependencies don't break. The real innovation is knowing which code to steal and how to make it look like you didn't.

That's not machine learning. That's just a terminal spewing errors while someone went to lunch. Classic misdirection to keep management from asking why your project is six weeks behind. The screen full of red text means either your code is spectacularly broken or you're training the next ChatGPT. Either way, nobody's touching that keyboard until the "learning" is complete.

Remember when search engines actually searched instead of showing you 47 ads, 12 shopping suggestions, and 3 AI-generated blog posts before your actual results? The irony of "technological improvements" is that they've optimized for everything except what users want. Modern search algorithms have reached peak efficiency—at selling you stuff you didn't ask for. It's like asking your GPS for directions and getting a 2-minute unskippable lecture about nearby restaurants before it tells you to turn right. The "Don't Be Evil" mantra aged about as well as Internet Explorer 6 running on Windows ME.

Turns out both chefs and AI "developers" are just throwing ingredients together and hoping something edible comes out. The difference? Chefs actually know what basil is. Ten years of writing clean, maintainable code just to be replaced by someone who knows how to type "make me a full-stack app with blockchain integration" into a text box. At least the spaghetti I'm eating tastes better than the spaghetti code these AI tools are churning out.
