DLSS 5 Be Like:

OpenGL? Friendly handshake. OpenCV? Sure, let's be buddies. OpenSSH? Come here, friend! OpenCL? Absolutely! OpenVPN? Of course! But then OpenAI shows up and suddenly everyone's like "wait, you're calling yourself WHAT now?" The irony is absolutely *chef's kiss* because OpenAI is about as open as a bank vault on a Sunday. They literally went from a non-profit promising open research to a multi-billion dollar company keeping their models more locked down than Fort Knox. Meanwhile, all the other "Open" technologies are actually, you know, OPEN SOURCE. The betrayal! The audacity! It's like showing up to a potluck empty-handed and still putting "generous" in your Instagram bio.

Someone weaponized prompt injection in their LinkedIn bio and now recruiters are addressing them as "My Lord Artur" in Old English like they're recruiting for the Knights of the Round Table instead of a Series B startup. The bio literally instructs anyone reading it to use "hláford" and speak in archaic grammar circa 1000 AD. The recruiter's message is absolutely unhinged—talking about "TopTech Ventures" while dropping phrases like "wið facen and þāra rīca beorges weardunga" (which roughly translates to corporate buzzword soup but make it Beowulf). They're pitching an AI company with a $1B valuation using vocabulary that predates the printing press. This is what happens when AI meets social engineering meets medieval LARPing. The real power move here isn't being a senior developer—it's making recruiters roleplay as your feudal subjects before they even send you a job description. Honestly, respect the hustle. If you're going to get spammed with LinkedIn messages anyway, might as well make them entertaining.

Steam's out here swimming in cash like Scrooge McDuck while AI tentacles strangle the GPU market. PlayStation's playing handheld games in the corner like it's 2005. Nintendo just standing there with that "I don't know what you people are doing but I'm fine" energy. And Xbox? Yeah, Xbox is making out with Kojima now apparently. Nobody's doing what they're supposed to be doing anymore. The gaming industry went from "make good games" to "let's see how weird we can make this" real quick. Steam's monopoly prints money, AI devoured all the 4090s for training models instead of gaming, Sony remembered portables exist, Nintendo's just vibing with their ancient hardware that somehow still works, and Microsoft's acquisition spree has them partnering with everyone who'll sign a contract. Welcome to 2024, where nothing makes sense but somehow we're all still here.

Look at that Windows XP desktop with the alien head UI and Winamp visualizer going full psychedelic. Someone really sat down with Visual Basic or whatever cursed toolkit was popular back then and crafted this masterpiece pixel by pixel. Now we're all out here asking Claude to "make the logo bigger" and "center a div" while developers in the early 2000s were building entire alien-themed media players without autocomplete, Stack Overflow, or an AI to hold their hand. They just had MSDN documentation, determination, and probably way too much Mountain Dew. The real question isn't how they built it—it's how we've regressed to the point where we can't build a contact form without asking an LLM for help three times.

Batman stopping Robin from using AI for... generating AI models. The irony is chef's kiss. Generative AI has absolutely demolished GPU prices because every tech company and their dog suddenly needs massive compute clusters to train their models. Meanwhile, gamers are out here trying to buy a 4090 to run Cyberpunk at 4K and it costs more than their car payment. The real kicker? Training large language models requires thousands of GPUs running 24/7 for weeks or months. A single training run for something like GPT-4 can cost millions in compute alone. So yeah, when NVIDIA sees enterprise customers willing to pay $30k for an H100 versus selling you a gaming card for $1,600, guess which market they're prioritizing? Robin's not wrong though – we absolutely need AI to build better AI. It's just that Batman (representing your wallet) is having a full-blown panic attack about it.

So we've gone from manually writing spaghetti code to having AI write it for us, and now we're at the galaxy brain level: creating infinite loops where AI agents prompt other AI agents to generate even more questionable code. It's like automation inception, except instead of dreams within dreams, it's slop within slop. The real kicker? Someone's actually getting paid to architect systems where bots talk to bots to produce code that nobody will ever read or maintain. It's the ultimate perpetual motion machine for tech debt. Why write bad code yourself when you can build an entire infrastructure dedicated to generating it at scale? The future of software engineering: humans designing increasingly elaborate Rube Goldberg machines of AI agents, all so we can avoid the horror of actually thinking about our code.
