Data structures and algorithms? Just a casual stroll through an empty doorway. No big deal. Just the fundamentals that have existed since the dawn of computer science. Boring!
But a shiny new framework? *gasp* Quick, everyone! Stampede like your career depends on it! Never mind that it'll be obsolete in 6 months and you'll need therapy to recover from the PTSD of its documentation.
The irony is exquisite - we avoid learning the timeless concepts that would actually make us better developers while fighting to the death to learn whatever JavaScript abomination was released on GitHub yesterday. Priorities!
