This is what happens when DevOps consumes your soul! Next thing you know, they'll be muttering "stateful sets" in their sleep and drawing little container diagrams on their bedroom walls. INTERVENTION REQUIRED IMMEDIATELY!

Why pay someone $200/hour to listen to your problems when you can spend $2000 on old server hardware to create your own EMOTIONAL DAMAGE?! 💀 The absolute DEDICATION of stacking five Dell servers in your basement just to run container orchestration that could probably run on a Raspberry Pi! But nooooo, we need the FULL ENTERPRISE EXPERIENCE at home because clearly our relationships weren't complicated enough already! The electricity bill alone would fund a year of therapy, but who needs mental health when you have high availability and auto-scaling for your personal blog that gets three visitors a month?!

Oh, the classic "I've been nodding along in meetings for 6 months" syndrome! This poor soul has reached that critical point in every tech project where admitting ignorance feels more terrifying than continuing the charade. Meanwhile, production is probably on fire, deployments are failing, and this person's search history is just "what is devops" and "how to pretend you understand kubernetes." The irony is that actual DevOps engineers spend half their careers explaining what DevOps actually is... to people who should already know!

Open source influencers flexing their New Year's contributions like they just bench-pressed the entire internet. "Just casually merged my PR into the Linux kernel at 12:01 AM while you were busy with champagne." Sure buddy, and I bet your code runs on "millions of containers" too. The only thing more inflated than these claims is their ego. Next they'll tell us they invented Git while brushing their teeth this morning. 💪

Job description: "Must be expert in Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, Ansible, Argo, Python, Helm, Docker, Grafana, Vault, and whatever else we discover next week." Actual job: "Here's a Jenkins instance from 2013. Don't break it." The classic bait-and-switch of modern DevOps. They lure you in with promises of cutting-edge infrastructure, then hand you the digital equivalent of a museum artifact held together with duct tape and prayers. Six months in, you're still trying to figure out why production depends on a Perl script written by someone who left during the Obama administration.

Management: "Why didn't moving to the cloud fix everything?" Developer: "Let me redesign for cloud-native." Management: "No. Just containerize it." Developer: "You can't fix architectural problems by saying buzzwords." Management: "Kubernetes." The classic "throw tech at it" approach. Spoiler alert: slapping containers on a monolith is like putting racing stripes on a shopping cart. Still a shopping cart, just more expensive and now someone has to learn Docker.
