The existential crisis every new game developer faces when they realize their entire career is just figuring out how to make different shapes not pass through each other. Evolution of programmer enlightenment: starts with Python (basic brain), progresses through Java (slightly lit brain), then C++ (glowing brain), followed by Scratch (cosmic brain), and finally... Minecraft command blocks (transcendent alien being). Nothing says "I've reached programming nirvana" like crafting complex algorithms with blocks meant for 10-year-olds. The supreme irony of the programming world: spend years mastering memory management in C++ only to realize the true galaxy-brain move is coding with pictures of cats and literal blocks. If you've ever built a working CPU in Minecraft, you're not a programmer anymore—you're basically a deity. The rest of us mortals will continue pretending our Python scripts are impressive.

Remember when you could just double-click a game and... play it? Yeah, those were simpler times. Now launching a single game requires navigating through more layers than a Russian nesting doll. First Steam has to update itself (obviously), then Ubisoft Connect needs to verify you're not a pirate, then Denuvo Anti-Cheat wants to inspect your soul, and FINALLY you get to the actual game. By then you've lost the will to play and just scroll Reddit instead. The matryoshka doll metaphor is painfully accurate here. Each launcher is just another unnecessary barrier between you and actually playing the game you paid for. It's like needing four different keys to unlock your own front door. Game developers know the pain. You spend hours optimizing your code, squeezing every last frame out of your game, when suddenly your own "brilliant" feature idea comes along and murders your performance in cold blood. Then you have the audacity to blame the engine! Classic developer self-sabotage at its finest. Unity gets a bad rap, but let's be honest—we're the ones adding particle systems that spawn 10,000 objects with real-time shadows while wondering why our game runs at 3 FPS. The duality of game dev: creating the problem, then being shocked when it exists.

The corporate boardroom at NVIDIA is a special kind of hell. When the boss says "We need to make better GPUs," two executives immediately jump to the money-making strategies: "Add more AI upscaling features!" and "Make it £2000!" Meanwhile, the lone reasonable employee suggests "Maybe some more v-ram and price it fairly." Next frame: That employee gets defenestrated from the building. Because nothing says "valued team member" like being thrown through a window for suggesting consumer-friendly features instead of wallet-draining AI buzzwords. Fun fact: NVIDIA's latest GPUs cost more than my first car, but at least they can render my tears in real-time ray-traced 8K.
