Nothing screams "I've been coding too long" like deciding your VM needs both stack AND register-based architecture when one would've done just fine. Meanwhile, WebAssembly is sitting there like "been there, solved that" while our ambitious dev realizes they've reinvented a square wheel. When your manager says "just process the last 1000 files" but you're dealing with a PHP script that's about to iterate through 2 million files while comparing against a database of 1 million records. The script is literally pulling 1000 records with limit(1000) but then checking EACH of your 2 million files against those 1000 records with in_array() . That's a cool O(n²) operation that's going to take approximately checks notes forever to complete. Your server's CPU is already writing its resignation letter.

THE GREAT NAMING CONVENTION SHOWDOWN! 🔥 Developers will literally start holy wars over these casing styles rather than fix actual bugs! You've got the elegant camelCase strutting around like it owns JavaScript, while snake_case slithers through Python code thinking it's sooo readable. And don't get me STARTED on SCREAMING_SNAKE_CASE! It's just YELLING AT YOU for NO REASON! Meanwhile, kebab-case is just hanging out there like "hey guys, can I join your HTML attributes party?" PascalCase (aka UpperCamel) is basically camelCase's pretentious cousin who insists on capitalizing EVERYTHING important. The drama! The tension! The absolute TRAGEDY of spending three hours arguing about this in code reviews! 💀

The eternal struggle of every developer who knows better but chooses chaos anyway. Sure, debuggers exist with their fancy breakpoints and variable inspection, but there's something primitively satisfying about littering your code with print("HERE") , print("WHY GOD WHY") , and the classic print("AAAAAAAAAAA") . It's like using a stone axe when you have a chainsaw in your garage. We all know we should use proper debugging tools, but smashing that red button and turning our console into a Jackson Pollock painting of random values just hits different.
