I Am Glad There Is Git

A leaf with patchy coloration gets compared to version control commits. Nature's out here pushing code changes to production without proper code review. That leaf has more commits than my entire GitHub account from 2023. At least Mother Nature doesn't need to deal with merge conflicts or that one coworker who force-pushes to main.

Junior dev discovers their company actually enforces clean git practices and suddenly realizes they can't just nuke their messy commit history with git push --force anymore. The existential crisis hits different when you realize you'll actually have to learn proper rebasing, squashing, and writing meaningful commit messages instead of your usual "fixed stuff" × 47 commits. While developers enjoy the sunshine and beautiful views, these unsung heroes are literally holding up our entire ecosystem—debugging our stupid mistakes, explaining basic concepts for the 500th time, and writing documentation nobody reads until it's 3:42 AM and everything is on fire. Without these magnificent keyboard warriors, we'd all still be trying to center a div or figure out why our code works on localhost but not in production.
