Please Forgive Me Robo Daddy

First panel: Everyone's terrified AI will steal their jobs. Second panel: Suddenly no one has actual production experience. The duality of developers in 2024: Simultaneously convinced AI will replace them while secretly using ChatGPT to figure out how to center a div. The truth hurts because we're all just stack overflow copypasta merchants with impostor syndrome and health insurance.

Content Should I copy and paste Code from ChatGPT? It doesn't work It works NO STILL NO

The corporate tech joy ride that ends in a ditch. First, management gets ChatGPT Enterprise and everyone's excited. Then they add Windsurf and the party continues. Soon developers are "vibe coding" instead of writing proper tests. Finally, the AI is reviewing pull requests, and that's when your phone rings at 3 AM because production is on fire. Nothing says "career advancement" like explaining to the CTO why an AI approved code that deleted the customer database because it had "good vibes."

Ah yes, the classic tech industry anatomy lesson. OpenAI and Microsoft Copilot are getting all the attention up top, looking shiny and impressive, while the real MVPs—FOSS projects, independent artists, and venture capital—are doing the heavy lifting down below. It's almost poetic how these AI giants are basically standing on the shoulders of... well, everything else. OpenAI scraped half the internet (including your GitHub repos, you're welcome), Copilot trained on millions of lines of open-source code, and both are propped up by billions in VC money that's desperately hoping this AI bubble doesn't pop before they exit. The irony? The open-source community built the foundation, artists unknowingly donated their work to the training sets, and VCs threw cash at it like confetti. Meanwhile, the fancy AI tools get all the credit while casually forgetting to mention the awkward "how did we get this data again?" conversation. Classic tech move—stand on giants, claim you're flying.

We've all been there. You don't trust a single AI anymore, so you've basically turned coding into a democracy where ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Grok, and DeepSeek all get a vote. Ask the same question to five different AI overlords, paste their responses into separate files, run them all, and pick whichever one doesn't explode. It's like speed dating but for code solutions. The "like a psychopath" part hits different because it's true. You're not debugging anymore—you're conducting a Hunger Games for algorithms. May the best AI-generated code win. The real kicker? This is somehow more efficient than reading documentation.

The absolute AUDACITY of developers who think documentation is optional! Here we have the classic "it compiles therefore it's done" energy, and honestly? The senior dev's horror is completely justified. The punchline hits different when you realize the dev literally named their files like they're playing documentation roulette: "migration_guide.md", "implementation.md", "calculation_example.md"... It's like they speedran creating every possible markdown file EXCEPT the ones that would actually help anyone understand what the code does. The project builds successfully, but good luck figuring out what any of it means six months from now! The title is chef's kiss because it's calling out AI-assisted coding where devs are so worried about wasting precious LLM tokens on markdown formatting that they skip documentation entirely. Priorities? Immaculate. Future maintainability? Not so much.
