Management discovers AI exists and suddenly thinks they've unlocked infinite productivity with zero investment. Meanwhile, they're genuinely confused why the dev team isn't thrilled about being asked to do 10x the work for the same paycheck while their job security slowly evaporates. The best part? They'll still blame you when the AI hallucinates an entire codebase into existence and nothing works. Classic executive math: AI + developers = same headcount, more output, no raises, eventual layoffs. But hey, at least you'll be productive right up until your replacement is a chatbot that costs $20/month.

That moment when GitHub Copilot helpfully suggests your private API key that you accidentally committed to a repo six months ago. Nothing like having your $5000/month AWS bill exposed by an AI that's just trying to be helpful. Security through obscurity fails again.

Remember when AI was our cute little sidekick? Now it's the hulking beast that makes us look like the sidekick. Two years ago we were teaching AI to recognize hot dogs. Today it's writing code faster than I can come up with excuses for why my PR isn't ready. Pretty sure next year I'll be fetching coffee for my AI overlord while it refactors my career into obsolescence. Still, at least I know where the power button is... for now.

Next they'll be offering courses on "How to look busy while an LLM writes your entire codebase" and "Advanced techniques in taking credit for AI-generated solutions." The tech industry's evolution from "prove your worth through impossible certifications" to "just learn to type good prompts" is the greatest betrayal since they removed the headphone jack!

The corporate circle of life in its natural habitat! First, management gets excited about AI boosting productivity so they can slash the dev team. Then their faces drop when devs use the same logic against them. "Oh, we need fewer managers now that we have fewer devs? surprised Pikachu face " The beautiful irony of corporate efficiency cuts coming back to bite the very people who initiated them. Turns out the sword of optimization cuts both ways... who knew? 🙃

The cosmic weight scale has a new champion! While astronomers worry about black holes and neutron stars, developers know the true gravitational monsters: Python virtual environments, Node modules, and PyTorch/CUDA installations. Nothing collapses spacetime quite like waiting for npm install to finish or watching your disk space vanish as PyTorch downloads half the internet. At least black holes have the decency to be millions of light years away—your Python venv is right there, crushing your hard drive and your spirits simultaneously.
