Every beginner's journey starts with picking their first language, and they're all equally terrified of JavaScript, Python, Java, C++, and C. Then someone suggests HTML and suddenly they're running for their life. Because nothing says "welcome to programming" like realizing you just spent 3 hours learning a markup language that half the industry doesn't even consider "real programming."
