That beautiful three-minute window of pure, unearned confidence between deploying to production and reality absolutely destroying your soul. The team just crunched through every bug ticket, high-fived each other, maybe even cracked open a celebratory energy drink... and then some script kiddie with too much free time decides to test if your login form remembers what input sanitization is. Spoiler: it doesn't. The "Hopefully we didn't miss anything..." is chef's kiss levels of foreshadowing. That word "hopefully" is doing more heavy lifting than your entire CI/CD pipeline. And of course, what they missed wasn't some obscure edge case in the payment processing logic—nope, it's the most basic security vulnerability that's been in the OWASP Top 10 since the dawn of time. Classic.

Content When you finally catch the person that's been writing bad code all the time

Taylor Otwell just disabled GitHub issues and told people to "just describe bugs to an AI and open a PR" because apparently that's easier than dealing with issue reports. Spoiler alert: someone immediately took him up on it and submitted an AI-generated PR. The rejection letter is *chef's kiss* - a masterclass in politely saying "did you seriously just copy-paste ChatGPT output into my framework?" The whole "thoughtful human insight into the codebase" bit is code for "please actually read the docs before letting the robot write your contribution." So yeah, turns out when you tell people to use AI to contribute to open source, you get... AI contributions. Who could've predicted this? It's like closing the front door and being surprised when people start coming through the windows you just opened. The real kicker? He closed it "last week" - probably took about 3 days to realize this workflow creates more work than it saves. Open source maintainers can't catch a break.

Management: "Embrace AI tools to boost productivity!" Team: "Let's use AI to draft hilarious resignation letters!" Nothing says "our workplace is thriving" quite like your entire biomedical research team spending company time crafting fake pirate-themed resignation letters. The irony is just *chef's kiss* - they're technically following orders while simultaneously planning their escape routes. Corporate AI initiatives backfiring into a festival of fantasy quitting scenarios might be the most honest performance review feedback ever delivered.
