The difference? Programmers aren't considered "real artists" despite crafting elegant algorithms that would make Picasso jealous. Next time someone says "it's just code," remind them their entire digital life runs on that "just code" someone wrote. The irony is we'll probably use AI to generate the angry tweets about AI stealing our code.
