The eternal C++ compiler vs. programmer showdown! A developer gets ambushed by contradictory IDE suggestions about making a method static. First, the compiler suggests a function uses class members (it doesn't), then claims making it static would cause errors (it wouldn't), then says the method shouldn't be static... only to conclude with "MAKE IT STATIC" anyway.
