The scene from Interstellar where time dilation means one hour equals seven Earth years gets a brutal JavaScript twist. Clearly whoever made this has watched their terminal crawl through an npm install that feels like it's bending spacetime itself. Those 12,000 dependencies aren't downloading themselves, and somehow your deadline is approaching faster than light. The real cosmic horror isn't what's beyond the black hole—it's watching your disk space vanish while node_modules becomes the densest object in your universe.

Someone reverse-engineered the Honey browser extension (you know, the "coupon finder" that supposedly saves you money) and found some... interesting code. The highlighted sections show tracking events being sent with coupon data, and then there's a function literally called maybeShowUserShare() . Not "definitely protect user privacy" or "ask for consent" - just maybe show the user you're sharing their data. The function name is doing some heavy lifting here. It's like naming a function maybeStealYourWallet() and acting surprised when people get upset. The code is sending analytics events with coupon codes and tracking whether coupons were applied - all that juicy e-commerce data that's worth its weight in affiliate commission gold. Nothing says "trustworthy" quite like discovering the free money-saving tool you installed is potentially monetizing your shopping habits without being super transparent about it. But hey, at least the developer was honest enough to use "maybe" in the function name. That's more transparency than most privacy policies give you.

Oh, you sweet summer child, wanting to learn programming "from the ground up"? Welcome to the abyss! You innocently think you'll start with some nice beginner tutorials, but NOPE—the universe has other plans. Out comes "Vibe coding" from the cursed "Things I HATE" box, and suddenly you're spiraling into an existential crisis, standing on a chair, contemplating every life choice that led you here. Starting with fundamentals? Adorable. But the programming gods have decided you must first experience the PAIN of cryptic syntax, bizarre naming conventions, and tutorials that assume you already know everything. "From the ground up" quickly becomes "from the breakdown down." The chair isn't just furniture anymore—it's a monument to your shattered dreams of clean code and logical learning paths.
