The search engine just casually autocorrecting "usb c" to "usa c" is the perfect metaphor for American exceptionalism in tech. Like that one coworker who insists their homegrown solution is better than industry standards. "Why use universal standards when we can make our own proprietary thing that works with exactly nothing else?"
