GitHub Copilot went from "helpful coding assistant" to "that guy who won't shut up at standup" real quick. Sure, you can ask it anything, but maybe you shouldn't have given it the ability to inject suggestions into literally every line of code you write.
Nothing quite captures the developer experience of typing a simple function name and watching Copilot hallucinate an entire microservices architecture you didn't ask for. The polite thing to do? Tell it to kindly back off and let you think for yourself. Sometimes the best AI assistance is no AI assistance.
Fun fact: Copilot's suggestions are based on billions of lines of public code, which means somewhere in its training data is probably that cursed PHP script from 2009 that you're desperately hoping nobody ever finds.
