RIP To The Ugly Pigeon From The Witcher 3. 2015-2026
The devs finally did it—they murdered the iconic nightmare pigeon that's been haunting Novigrad since 2015. That cursed bird with its soulless eyes staring directly into your camera became an unintentional legend, a beloved bug that transcended its low-poly existence. But in the remastered version? They went full "we're fixing our technical debt" mode and replaced it with an actually decent-looking pigeon. Classic case of "it's not a bug, it's a feature" getting patched out. Sometimes optimization means killing the memes, and honestly? That's the real tragedy. The old one had *character*—that uncanny valley charm you only get from rushed asset loading and aggressive LOD (Level of Detail) systems. Pour one out for our derpy friend who probably had a polygon count lower than a PS1 character model.

When your entire existence as a game dev is crumbling faster than a poorly optimized physics engine—RAM costs hitting harder than a memory leak, your indie studio going bankrupt, and your gaming PC reduced to a potato—but WAIT. CD Projekt Red just announced another Witcher 3 remaster and DLC because apparently we haven't milked that masterpiece enough times already. Suddenly, all your problems evaporate like deleted save files and life is worth living again! Who needs financial stability when Geralt is getting his 47th graphical upgrade? Priorities, people. PRIORITIES.

Rockstar Bad, You Guys

Rockstar Bad, You Guys
CD Projekt Red out here giving away free remasters and DLCs like they're running a charity, while Rockstar Games is literally charging you a Netflix subscription just to watch a trailer for GTA 6. The contrast is absolutely brutal. CD Projekt may have had their Cyberpunk launch disaster, but at least they're trying to earn back goodwill by actually treating their players like humans. Meanwhile, Rockstar discovered they can milk GTA V for a decade straight and are now experimenting with how much they can squeeze out of people before they even release the next game. The gaming industry really has two types of studios: those who give you free content to keep you happy, and those who've figured out they can monetize your anticipation. Guess which business model makes more money?
