You're out here living your best life, running that decade-old game at 4K ultra settings with supersampling like the graphics god you've become. Your RTX 4090 is practically yawning. Then BAM—the devs decided to bless you with a pre-rendered cutscene from 2007 that looks like it was encoded on a potato using a dial-up connection. Suddenly you're transported from visual paradise to watching Minecraft Steve's distant cousin through a screen door made of vaseline. The whiplash is REAL. Nothing says "immersion breaking" quite like going from photorealistic explosions to counting individual pixels on someone's face.
