I Am So Cooked

I Am So Cooked
Nothing says "professional decision-making" quite like realizing mid-CPU-disassembly that you're about to spend the next 24 hours watching your PC slowly cook itself to death. The thermal paste ran out. Not "running low" — completely out. So now you're stuck in that special kind of purgatory where your PC is sitting there, half-naked and vulnerable, while you wait for Amazon Prime to save your life. The best part? You can't even use your computer during this time. No gaming, no coding, no pretending to be productive. Just you, your thoughts, and the growing realization that maybe you should've checked your thermal paste inventory before committing to maintenance day. At least you'll have plenty of time to contemplate your life choices.

Lazy To Charge The Spares, Now I Had To Do The "G 304 Wired"
Procrastination strikes again! Someone couldn't be bothered to charge their wireless mouse batteries, so they've literally cracked open their Logitech G304 and plugged a cable directly into it while it's still running. The battery compartment is wide open like a patient on an operating table, exposing the dead AA battery that gave up on life. It's the hardware equivalent of commenting out broken code instead of fixing it. Why spend 30 seconds swapping batteries when you can spend 5 minutes performing emergency surgery and turning your $50 wireless mouse into a janky wired one? Peak engineering efficiency right there. The cable management gods are weeping. Fun fact: The Logitech G304 can run for up to 250 hours on a single AA battery, but apparently planning ahead is harder than impromptu hardware modification.

Customer complains their PC shuts down after a few seconds. Tech opens the case to find what can only be described as a crime scene: the CPU cooler has been replaced with actual kitchen utensils. Someone took "Do It Yourself" way too literally and decided that a comb and some butter knives would make excellent thermal management solutions. Spoiler alert: they don't. The CPU probably hit thermal throttling faster than you can say "thermal paste." Pretty sure the PC was just trying to protect itself from this abomination by shutting down. Can't blame it, honestly.
