It's honestly wild that treating your fans like actual human beings instead of walking wallets is considered revolutionary in the gaming industry, but here we are.

GOG out here being the hero we don't deserve in a world of bloated launchers and always-online nonsense. Buy once, download the installer, keep it forever, no DRM handcuffs, no mandatory launcher eating your RAM for breakfast. Just pure, unadulterated game files you actually own . Meanwhile every other platform is like "sure you can play your game, just let me verify your internet connection, update the launcher, restart your PC, sacrifice a goat, and oh btw if our servers go down you're screwed." GOG is basically that one friend who still burns you DVDs in 2024 and you love them for it. The "can even pirate it very easily" line is chef's kiss honesty. When your business model is so consumer-friendly that piracy becomes pointless, you've transcended capitalism itself.
