The virgin "please help me escape this text editor" vs. the chad "I've transcended the need for escape buttons." On one side, you've got the confused newbie frantically googling how to exit vim like they've been trapped in a digital escape room. On the other, there's the enlightened vim master who's achieved such unity with the editor that the concept of leaving it is philosophically absurd. Why would you exit perfection? The real flex isn't knowing :wq — it's never wanting to use it. These are the people who've remapped their entire OS to vim keybindings and use hjkl to navigate their browser. They don't exit vim. Vim exits them.
