Hollywood's idea of "hacking" never disappoints. The hacker casually mentions they're "just finishing up the prompt now" while their screen displays what looks like a neural network diagram straight out of a CS101 textbook crossed with a subway map. Then they reassure everyone that their code is "lengthy, but not so much to overwhelm the AI." Because apparently in TV land, AI gets overwhelmed by code length rather than computational complexity. Just wait until that AI encounters a production React app with 47 nested ternary operators and a package.json that's basically a novel. The real crime here isn't whatever they're hacking—it's the fact that someone thought this dialogue would sound remotely technical. Props to the set designers though for creating the most aesthetically pleasing "hacking interface" with color-coded terminal windows that definitely aren't just running cmatrix on loop.
