Every developer who's been to a tech conference in the last five years knows this person. You show them literally anything you built—a todo app, a microservice, a hello world script—and they immediately assume you must be using Rust. Because obviously nothing else exists anymore. The Rust evangelists have reached a level of fervor that makes CrossFit enthusiasts look chill. Sure, Rust is great for memory safety and performance, but not everything needs to be rewritten in it. Sometimes Python is fine. Sometimes JavaScript gets the job done. But try explaining that to someone whose entire personality is "I use Rust btw." The best part? They genuinely can't comprehend why you'd use anything else. It's like they've developed selective amnesia about the existence of Go, C++, Java, or literally any other language. The crab has consumed their brain.
