Ancient engineering Memes

The ancient Egyptians somehow managed to construct architectural marvels that have stood for millennia without Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, or a single soul asking "can everyone see my screen?" Meanwhile, your dev team can't ship a button without seventeen standup meetings where everyone mumbles "no blockers" while secretly drowning in merge conflicts. The pyramids were built with literal rocks and rope, yet here we are in 2024 needing a 15-minute sync just to align on whether we're calling it a "user" or a "customer." The pharaohs didn't need Jira tickets to move 2.5-ton limestone blocks, but your team needs three story points and two refinement sessions to change a font color. Truly humbling.

Turns out 4,500 years of engineering brilliance didn't require a single Jira ticket or Slack channel. The ancient Egyptians just... did the work? No daily standups about "blockers" or 47-message threads debating the optimal stone-dragging methodology. No PM asking "can we squeeze one more obelisk into this sprint?" Just thousands of people moving massive rocks with nothing but determination, physics, and probably a terrifying project manager with actual whips instead of digital notifications. Makes you wonder if we've actually evolved or just created digital bureaucracy to avoid the real work.
